Join Us! Monday, 23 March 2026 16:00–18:00 The Quarterdeck, E14 The Isle of Dogs Safer Neighbourhood Teams invite local residents to attend a community bike marking event taking place at The Quarterdeck. This free session is designed to help cyclists protect their bikes and reduce the risk of theft. 🔐 Why Bike Marking Is Important Bike theft remains an ongoing challenge across London. Marking your bike and registering it with BikeRegister, the UK’s national cycle database, is one of the most effective ways to deter thieves. Once registered, your bike receives a unique identification code that police can use to confirm ownership and reunite bikes with their rightful owners. By registering your bike on BikeRegister.com, you benefit from: - A secure, nationwide ownership record - Increased chances of recovery if your bike is lost or stolen - A strong visual deterrent that makes your bike less attractive to thieves 🛠 What to Expect at the Event Our officers will: 1. Apply a secure marking to your bike 2. Guide you through the BikeRegister sign up process 3. Offer advice on bike security and theft prevention The process only takes a few minutes and is completely free of charge. 👋 We Look Forward to Seeing You Even if your bike is already registered, feel free to stop by and speak with your local Safer Neighbourhood Team. We’re always happy to meet residents and answer questions about safety and crime prevention in the area. We hope to welcome you on 23 March at The Quarterdeck.
